Recently a representative of KSBJ, a Christ-centered, non-profit, listener-supported radio ministry in the Houston area with a reputation of being one of the premier Christian radio stations in the United States contacted the church office wanting to speak with the senior pastor.

    The Christian radio representative proceeded to inform Pastor Don Keathley that New Zion had been chosen and selected to be the “KSBJ Church of the Week” for the week of July 23rd – July 30th 2007.

    The contact explained that KSBJ recently felt that God wanted them to recognize and affirm churches in the Houston area that were exemplary and exceptional in carrying out the goal and mission of the church as commanded by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    The radio station announced their vision on air and asked their listeners who felt their churches qualified to submit their nominations.
In the first week alone, there were over 1000 nominations and many more have come in since then. New Zion is the 7th church to be selected “KSBJ Church of the Week” .

    Throughout the week during various broadcast segments, portions of an interview conducted by Jim Pivero for the radio station with Pastor Don Keathley can be heard on air at FM 89.3.
