Due to the state of our economy, we have had a record number of people come for food. God has been so faithful by having MCA and our church have food drives to help us meet the needs for food in our community. In October alone we gave food to 940 people.

Because of our relationship with Thornwood Elementary School, and our involvement with the children and staff in the outreaches we have done there, they decided to do something for the people who need food in our area. Principal Karen Liska challenged the students to donate food to W.S.S.S., and in a two week food drive, they collected over 2,000 items of food!
